How can you be moral with God? (or is Santa a better moral teacher than Jesus?)

This is so tragic… yet another illustration of how bigoted the faith-heads are when they lay stake to their transcendent / objective / non-relativistic / absolute morality.  One asks to wonder, can you be good while believing in God?

It reminds me of a Christian friend who admits she helps the less fortunate because they are fellow human beings who are suffering.  It has nothing to do with God.

Christianity is immoral.  You are not acting morally when you are acting on bequest of a 3rd party.  You may by chance have stumbled into doing some moral; but there is no way of telling.

Perhaps Santa Claus is a better myth than Jesus, for out of that tradition comes “so be good for goodness sake”.  What better reason do we need?

  1. Don’t you just love the whole morality “argument” that bible thumpers use over and over again? My first response to them is always “would you start raping and killing if you found out that there is no god?”. Don’t they ever question why the majority of rapists and killers in prison are religious? Those are some morals!!!
